摘要： A process is disclosed for making hydrohalopropanes or hydrofluorobutanes. The process involves reacting a hydrofluoromethane with a fluoroolefin in the presence of a modified aluminum chloride catalyst or a modified aluminum bromide catalyst to produce a hydrohalopropane or a hydrofluorobutane. The hydrofluoromethane is CH 2 F 2 or CH 3 F. The fluoroolefin is CF 2 =CF 2 , ClFC=CF 2 or CF 3 CF=CF 2 .

摘要： The present invention relates to compositions comprising iodotrifluoromethane and an effective amount of at least one stabilizer selected from the group consisting of hindered phenols, thiophosphates, butylated triphenylphosphorothionates, organo phosphates, phosphites, aryl alkyl ethers, terpenes, terpenoids, epoxides, fluorinated epoxides, oxetanes, ascorbic acid, thiols, lactones, thioethers, amines, nitromethane, alkylsilanes, benzophenone derivatives, aryl sulfides, divinyl terephalic acid, diphenyl terephalic acid, ionic liquids, and mixtures thereof. These stabilized iodotrifluoromethane compositions may be useful as working fluids in multiple applications including cooling apparatus, such as refrigeration, air-conditioning, chillers, and heat pumps.

A process is also disclosed to decrease the Z/E ratio of 1,2,3,3,3 pentafluoropropene. The process involves contacting a starting material comprising 1,2,3,3,3 pentafluoropropene with a catalyst on AlF 3 or carbon, wherein the catalyst is selected from the group consisting of SbCl w F 5-w , TiCl x F 4-x , SnCl y F 4-y and TaCl z F 5-z wherein w is from 0 to 4, x is from 0 to 3, y is from 0 to 3, z is from 0 to 4, to obtain a product wherein the Z/E ratio of 1,2,3,3,3 pentafluoropropene is decreased relative to the Z/E ratio of 1,2,3,3,3 pentafluoropropene in the starting material.
