    • The invention relates to foundry work in particular to the technology of centrifugal casting of blanks for producing rollers used in machines for continuous casting of blanks. The inventive method consists in casting a metal melt of martensite-ferrite class into a rotatable ingot mold. Prior to casting and introducing iron powder (IP), a powder-like modifying additive is introduced into the melt until an outer layer of the blank is obtained. In accordance with the invention, when the outer layer of the blank is formed the introduction into the melt of the powder-like modifying additives continuously accompanied by a reduction in the consumption thereof down to zero. Simultaneously the iron powder is introduced into the melt with an increase the consumption thereof from zero up to 1.5 - 3.0 % in relation to the casting metal per second until the formation of an intermediate layer of a mixture of the powder-like modifying additives and the iron powder of 2-4 mm thickness. The iron powder is introduced until completion of the casting of the metal into the ingot mold.

    • The invention relates to rolling production and can be used for improving technological parameters and rigidity of rolling mills, while a transforming duomills into universal ones. The rolling mill consists of bases (1) and bottom horizontal rollers (4) installed in top and bottom chucks (5, 6) and mechanisms for regulating the rollers and cassettes (15) with vertical rollers (16) mounted between the chucks (5, 6) of the horizontal rollers (4). In accordance with the invention, plates (7) are rigidly fixed to outer sides of the windows of the bases'(1) columns (2, 3). The plates (7) project from boundaries of the columns (2, 3). The parts of the columns are linked to each other with the aid of top and bottom beams (9, 10) on which an entry and delivery roller guides (11) are mounted. The cassettes (15) with the vertical rollers (16) are fixed with the aid of a wedge arrangement between the inner surfaces of the columns (2, 3) of the base (1) and the surface of the plate (7). The top beams (9) have a cross section of a trapezoidal form and bottom beams (10) are embodied in the form of a tube. The rolling mill additionally comprises a mechanism for the axial fixation of the chucks (6) of the bottom horizontal roller (4) and a mechanism for axial adjustment and fixation of the chucks of the top horizontal roller (4) in addition to mechanisms for bailing the chucks (5, 6) of the horizontal rollers (4) mounted in such a way that they can turn and be introduced into the space between the chucks (5, 6) of the horizontal rollers (4). This operation is carried out during changing of the callipers of the rollers (4) and dismantling the cassettes (15) together with the vertical rollers (16).
