The first network element device includes a selection module and a configuration module. The present invention enables the automatic configuration of IP addresses in the case of no address allocation server.

    • The present invention discloses an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address allocation method and apparatus, relates to the technical field of communications, and can allocate the same IPv6 prefix for the different User Equipments (UEs) in the same network domain, to increase the available space of IPv6 addresses. The embodiment of the present invention includes: transmitting an address allocation request message to an address allocation processing device by a UE, wherein the request message includes an identifier of the network domain where the UE is located, then receiving an IPv6 prefix transmitted from the address allocation processing device, and generating a global IPv6 address according to the IPv6 prefix. The solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention is suitable for address allocation.

    • A system and method for detecting incipient mechanical motor faults by way of current noise cancellation is disclosed. The system includes.a controller configured to detect indicia of incipient mechanical motor faults. The controller further includes a processor programmed to receive a baseline set of current data from an operating motor and define a noise component in the baseline set of current data. The processor is also programmed to acquire at least on additional set of real-time operating current data from the motor during operation, redefine the noise component present in each additional set of real-time operating current data, and remove the noise component from the operating current data in real-time to isolate any fault components present in the operating current data. The processor is then programmed to generate a fault index for the operating current data based on any isolated fault components.
