摘要： An image processing system and method having a statistical appearance model for interpreting a digital image. The appearance model has at least one model parameter. The system and method comprises a two dimensional first model object including an associated first statistical relationship, the first model object configured for deforming to approximate,a shape and texture of a two dimensional first target object in the digital image. Also included is a search module for selecting and applying the first model object to the image for generating a two dimensional first output object approximating the shape and texture of the first target object, the search module calculating a first error between the first output object and the first target object. Also included is an output module for providing data representing the first output object to an output. The processing system uses interpolation for improving image segmentation, as well as multiple models optimised for various target object configurations. Also included is a model labelling that is associated with model parameters, such that the labelling is attributed to solution images to aid in patient diagnosis.

摘要： A method is provided for maintaining a data set associated with an implant device intended for use during implant surgery on a selected patient. The method includes the steps of: storing pre-operative planning information in the data set configured for use during the implant surgery, the pre-operative planning information comprising image data representing the anatomy of the selected patient, a definition of the implant device based on an analysis of the anatomy represented in the image data such that the definition of the implant device includes one or more implant devices each having at least one different implant property, and surgical information including placement information of the implant device on the anatomy. The data set can then be amended to include intra-operative information including the actual implant device used during the implant surgery and details of the actual placement of the implant device used during the implant surgery. The amended data set is stored for subsequent access to facilitate outcome analysis (i.e. post-operative analysis) of the pre-operative planning information and the intra-operative information associated with the implant device.

摘要： One embodiment discloses a computerized method of facilitating cardiac intervention. The method may include inputting patient data and creating a computerized interactive model of a heart based on the patient data. The model may include features. The model may simulate at least one proposed cardiac intervention by adding or deleting features to the model, and determining the effects of the proposed cardiac simulation upon the entire model. Simulations may be repeated to allow the user to determine an optimal cardiac intervention. A template and/or patient specific instrument may be created from the model to use as a guide during the cardiac intervention.
