摘要： A device (30) effects the mitral valve annulus geometry of a heart. The device comprises a first anchor (32) and a proximal second anchor (36), both anchors configured to be positioned within the coronary sinus adjacent the mitral valve annulus. The second anchor, when deployed, anchors against distal movement and is moveable proximally. The device further comprises a fixed length connecting member (34) permanently attached to the first and second anchors. When the both anchors are within the coronary sinus and the first anchor is anchored, the second anchor may be displaced proximally, effecting the mitral valve geometry, and then released, maintaining the new geometry.

摘要： A mitral valve therapy device (30) effects the condition of a mitral valve annulus (20) of a heart (10). The device (30) includes an elongated member (32) dimensioned to be placed in the coronary sinus (14) of the heart (10) adjacent the mitral valve annulus (20). The elongated member (32) is flexible when placed in the heart (10) in a first orientation to position the device (30) in the coronary sinus (14) adjacent the mitral valve annulus (20) and relatively inflexible when rotated into a second orientation after the device (30) is positioned in the coronary sinus (14) adjacent to the mitral valve annulus (20) to substantially straighten and increase the radius of curvature of the mitral valve annulus (20).

摘要： The present invention relates to a medical device and uses thereof that supports or changes the shape of tissue near a vessel in which the device is placed. The present invention is particularly useful in reducing mitral valve regurgitation by changing the shape of or supporting a mitral valve annulus. The device includes a support structure, a proximal anchor adapted to be positioned in a superior vena cava, and a distal anchor adapted to be positioned in a coronary sinus. The support structure engages a vessel wall to change the shape of tissue adjacent the vessel in which the intravascular support is placed.

The support wire engages a vessel wall to change the shape of tissue adjacent the vessel in which the intravascular support is placed.
