Initially a non-destructive depth detector is scanned over a prospective fastener hole location. Then the depth of a conductive foil (120) below a surface is detected. When the detected depth is less than a predetermined depth, a signal that indicates that a countersink fastener hole may be drilled is output. When the detected depth is greater than a predetermined depth, a signal that indicates that a countersink fastener hole may not be drilled is output.

摘要： Embodiments of techniques to verify the interference fit of fasteners are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes aligning a probe proximate a fastener, the fastener being disposed within a material. A dynamic stress signal is generated from the probe using a low frequency transducer, and the dynamic stress signal is interrogated after it passes between the fastener and the material. An interference fit is then determined based on the interrogated dynamic stress signal.

摘要： The present invention relates to an electrochemical cell having a catalytic electrode and an electrically conductive contact element facing the electrode. The electrically conductive contact element conducts electrical current from the electrode and has a surface comprising a plurality of passivated regions, and a plurality of non-passivated regions dispersed among the passivated regions. The surface further is coated with an electrically conductive, corrosion resistant coating. Other preferred aspects of the present invention include methods of treating the electrically conductive contact element by passivation to resist corrosion while still maintaining electrical conductivity.

摘要： Pharmaceutical packages and methods for enhancing the safety of imiquimod when used to treat chiidren affected by skin disorders are disclosed. More particularly, the safety profile of imiquimod use is enhanced by providing information to the children, guardians of the children, including parents and health care professionals, that systemic absorption of imiquimod and other effects may be observed when imiquimod therapy is used to treat children of between about 2 and about 12 years of age. Examples of systemic absorption include a serum imiquimod concentrations of less than about 2 ng/mL, a decrease in median white blood cell count by about 1.4*109/L or a decrease in median absolute neutrophil count by about 1.42*109/L. Topical and/or transdermal delivery of imiquimod, including creams, ointments, gels, lotions, salves and pressure- sensitive adhesive compositions to treat dermatologica! disorders in children, namely, molluscum contagiosum, viral infections, such as Type I or Type Il Herpes simplex infections and condyloma acuminata, genital warts and perianal warts, actinic keratosis and superficial basal cell carcinoma, and to induce interferon biosynthesis, are disclosed.
