摘要： A process is disclosed for casting a light metal cover, in particular for a crankcase. The light metal is at first introduced into a casting mould made up of at least two parts that enclose the shape of the cover. When the light metal has solidified, the cover is removed from the casting mould. In another step of the process, the cover is joined at least on one side with at least an additional part of the mould adjacent to said side of the cover. This additional part of the mould forms a sealing mould that encloses a cavity for a seal. A substantially elastic seal having a sealing surface is then generated on the cover in the sealing mould. When the additional part of the mould is removed, the seal is firmly joined to the cover.

The compression chamber (V) in the cylinder (60) defined by the top dead centre of the piston (58) may be adjusted in that the lower edge of the cylinder (60) is joined to the crankcase (62) by threads (66). The outlet valve (92) is centrally arranged in the piston (58) and is thermally uncoupled from an adjustable outlet.

摘要： Disclosed is a process for manufacturing diecast parts from a light metal alloy which in the molten state is fed under gravity into a casting chamber in a diecasting machine and whence forced by a plunger into a mould chamber which undergoes controlled evacuation in accordance with the position of the plunger. The process involves the application of a parting compound to at least one mould half and the application of a lubricant to the plunger. The light metal alloy consists of a primary alloy of invariable composition, with a limit placed on the proportions of Cu, Fe and Zn; the alloy undergoes smelting treatment, de-gassing and/or filtration before being introduced. The vacuum in the mould chamber is below 50 mbar when the molten alloy is introduced and the parting compound contains alkali halides and anti-corrosion- additives.
