    • Hard foams having urethane groups are produced by reacting a) polyisocyanates with b) compounds having at least two hydrogen atoms capable of reacting with isocyanates and a molecular weight from 92 to 10,000 in the presence of c) water and alkanes as organic foaming agents and d) solubilisers and if required e) other aids and additives known per se. The process is characterised in that one uses as solubiliser d) a compound having at least one polar group selected from the group made of d1) (I) R -O-CO-O-R , in which R and R stand for alkyl groups with 1 to 12 C atoms or represent together an alkylene group with 2 to 6 C atoms; d2) of formula (II), in which R and R stand for alkyl groups with 1 to 12 C atoms and n equals 0 to 6; d3) of formula (III), in which R to R stand for a possibly halogen-substituted alkyl group with 1 to 12 C atoms, a cycloalkyl group with 5 to 10 C atoms or an aryl group with 6 to 12 C atoms; d4) a reaction product of (i) 2 moles in total of a fatty acid component that consists of at least one possibly unsaturated fatty acid with 15 to 25 C atoms and (ii) one mole in total of a diamine component that consists of at least one diamine of formula (IV), in which n = 2 to 10; or d5) of formula: NR R R R X , in which R to R stand for alkyl residues with 1 to 16 C atoms and X stands for sulphate, carbonate, sulphonate and halogenide.

    • The description relates to a process for producing hard polyurethane foams with low heat conductivity from polyols and polyisocynates, foaming agents and possibly foaming auxiliaries, in which the hard polyurethane foam is obtained by reacting: A. a polyol component containing 1. at least one polyester polyol of a molecular weight of 100 to 30,000 g/mol with at least two hydrogen atoms reactive to isocyanates, 2. at least two hydrogen atoms reactive to isocyanates and compounds containing at least one tertiary nitrogen atom and with a molecular weight of 150 to 12,500 g/mol, 3. compounds containing at least two hydrogen atoms reactive to isocyanates with a molecular weight of 150 to 12,500 g/mol, 4. catalysts, 5. water, 6. foaming agents and 7. possibly auxiliaries and/or additives; with: B. an organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanate with an NCO content of 20 to 48 % wt. In addition, cyclopentane-blown hard foams with low heat conductivity and their use as intermediate layers for composite components and for foam-filling hollow spaces are described.
