    • A method for preparing an iron source used for preparing lithium ferrous phosphate comprises contacting a first liquid flow of a solution containing a ferrous salt and a soluble non-iron metal salt with a second liquid flow of an oxalate salt solution, and recovering the product; wherein the flow rates of the first liquid flow and the second liquid flow are such that the pH of the slurry resulted from mixing is 3-6; the said soluble non-iron metal salt is one or more soluble salts selected from salts of Group IIA, IIIA, IVA, IB,IIB, IIIB, IVB, VB, VIB, VIIB, and VIII non-iron metals. The iron source (ferrous oxalate) prepared by the method in the present invention has regular particle shape, small particle size, and even particle size distribution. Therefore, the lithium ferrous phosphate prepared from the said iron source has small and evenly distributed particle size, even carbon distribution, and excellent electrochemical properties.

    • An economical, compact wireless data telemetry system includes a transceiver coupled with a portable computing device to provide a mobile data messaging and location information delivery system. The wireless data telemetry system is well suited for use in many possible applications, one application, vehicle location, provides an exemplary embodiment. In broadest terms, the system utilizes a plurality of analog RF channels for transmitting Mobile Data Packet Protocol (MDPP) packets between a tower site controller or remote base and number of mobile data units. The radio links between the tower site and the mobile data units are full duplex analog RF data transmission links utilizing full duplex receivers and transmitters at each installation. The operation of the combination of elements is the novel focus of the present invention. Particularly, the mobile data unit includes a main unit comprising RF and data circuits with a GPS receiver and an RF antenna for transmission of time-stamped location and data telemetry packets to a base station. The base or dispatch station receives data in MDPP format from a plurality of mobile units and organizes that information into a database that is stored and manipulated in a central web site server for access by users or customers.
