    • A device (200, 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1400, 1700) is provided for stimulating select body tissues and organs from within a compartment in a body. The device (200, 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1400, 1700) includes a tube (202, 302, 502, 802, 1002, 1402, 1702) having a distal end (206, 306, 506, 806, 1006, 1406, 1706), a proximal end (204, 304, 504, 804, 1004, 1404) and a plurality of lumens (418, 420, 422; 618, 620, 622, 623; 918, 920; 1218, 1220; 1518, 1520, 1522, 1523). At least one distendable element (208, 308, 508, 808, 1008, 1408, 1708) is located along and coupled to the tube (202, 302, 502, 802, 1002, 1402, 1702) in closer proximity to the distal end (206, 306, 506, 806, 1006, 1406, 1706) than to the proximal end (204, 304, 504, 804, 1004, 1404). Each distendable element (208, 308, 508, 808, 1008, 1408, 1708) is configured to expand against the compartment into a first position and contract within the compartment into a second position. At least one electrical component (212, 312, 512, 812, 1012, 1712) is in association with each of the distendable elements and configured to activate and deactivate electrical stimulation to the select body tissues and organs. The expansion and contraction of each distendable element (208, 308, 508, 808, 1008, 1408, 1708) and the activation and deactivation of each electrical component (212, 312, 512, 812, 1012, 1712) in the compartment is repeated over a period of time.
