摘要： An improved railway car axle having a generally cylindrical elongated body is provided. The axle comprises a journal near either end adapted to receive a bearing. A dust guard is provided adjacent the journals. A wheel seat is provided adjacent the dust guard and is adapted to receive a railway wheel thereon. The center portion of the railway axle is generally cylindrical and extends between each wheel seat. The journal has a specified length and diameter, the dust guard has a specified diameter, and the axle midpoint has a specified diameter to provide a railway axle able to be utilized in heavy haul railway freight car service.

摘要： A print head assembly for an ink-jet printer operable with a continuous ink supply system is disclosed, with an ink compartment, a foam insert, an ink fill port, and a spacer. The ink fill port receives ink fed from an external supply and to be printed by the print head assembly. The ink compartment stores the ink to be printed. The foam insert is in the ink compartment and takes up the ink to be stored. The spacer extends into the ink compartment, provides for the formation of a clearance between the foam insert and the ink fill port and surrounds the ink fill port either completely or with one or more gaps haying a gap width, wherein the gap width of none of the gaps presents an aperture angle of more than 25% of 360° with respect to a center of the ink fill port. Further, a method of manufacturing a print head assembly is disclosed.
