    • To address the problem of inter-cell interference, the present invention proposes a method for inter-cell interference coordination and a device thereof. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of coordinating radio resource in a base station of wireless communication network, comprising the steps of: S1 determining whether a UE is of interference risk; if the UE is of interference risk, then S2 determining key interference source base station(s) of the UE; S3, scheduling radio resource in collaboration with the key interference source base station(s), so that the key interference source base station(s) idle(s) the radio resource assigned to the UE by the base station. With the method and device provided in the present invention, effective avoidance of inter-cell interference may be achieved, and every cell may fully reuse resource to accomplish reuse gain, while UE backward compatibility may also be supported.

    • The prior art does not prescribe how to divide a control plane among network elements in a D2D communication under cellular architecture. To fill the technological gap, the present invention provides a method of performing the D2D communication and a corresponding control method, wherein a protocol signaling and protocol stack function of a media access (MAC) layer are implemented in a UE performing the D2D communication, and a control function is implemented by a master UE without introducing the base station, thereby reducing complexity of the base station and avoiding delay caused by the control of the base station; and wherein a protocol signaling and protocol stack function of a radio resource management (RRC) layer are implemented in the base station and the UE, and the control function is implemented by the base station and the base station performs mobility management.

    • The present invention discloses methods for supporting coexistence of a mobile relay and a fixed relay in a wireless communication network, and corresponding apparatuses. A method comprises: receiving, by a base station, a fist message from a relay; determining, by the base station, whether the relay is a mobile relay or a fixed relay based on the first message received from the relay; sending, by the base station, a second message to a mobility management entity, the second message comprising information indicating whether the relay is a mobile relay or a fixed relay so that the mobility management entity can select a corresponding service gateway SGW and a corresponding packet data network gateway PGW for the relay. According to the present invention, coexistence of a mobile relay and a fixed relay in a wireless communication network can be realized with a minimal impact on standardization work.
