摘要： A pyrolysis heater has the inlet sections of the process coils grouped together and the outlet sections of these same process coils also grouped together. High heat liberation hearth burners are located adjacent to the inlet sections of the coils and lower heat liberation burners are located adjacent to the outlet sections. The secondary fuel tips of the burners are inclined toward the adjacent, heater wall. The high heat liberation hearth burners adjacent to the inlet coils are arranged in spaced apart pairs with the secondary burner tips of each of the pair being inclined toward the other burner of the pair.

A deflector directs the flow of gas radially through the bed. An injector upstream of the catalyst introduces a reducing agent such as ammonia into the inlet gas stream. 摘要： A cracking furnace for the pyrolysis heating of an organic feedstock includes a heating section and at least one convection section. In one embodiment the furnace includes first and second convection sections positioned along opposite sides of the heating section. The openings for admitting flue gas to the convection sections can be at the top or the bottom of the heating section. In another embodiment the furnace includes a plurality of passageways for the communication of flue gas from the heating section to the convection section. The passageways can be positioned at the top or the bottom of the heating section. The passageways provide a more even flow of flue gas through the heating section by preventing recirculation of the flue gas within the heating chamber.
