摘要： A light guide adapted for use with a dental light device ahs a reflector tube for receiving light from a light source of a light device and for guiding the light toward an end of the reflector tube. The light guide comprises further a reflector plate adjacent the end of the reflector tube. The reflector plate has a reflective face which is arranged inclined relative to the longitudinal axis. The light guide may facilitate handling of a light device in use, and may help minimizing costs.

摘要： Disclosed is a mixer 1 for mixing at least two components a dental material having a drive shaft 20. The drive shaft 20 at a front end has a drive shaft coupling with a coupling plug 21. The coupling receptacle 11 of the mixing rotor 5 and the coupling plug 21 if the drive shaft 20 are adapted for mating with one another. In particular the coupling receptacle 11 and the coupling plug 21 arc adapted for positive engagement with one another. The coupling receptacle 11 of the mixer 1 extends along a rotation axis A of the mixer 1, and the coupling plug 21of the drive shaft extends along a rotation axis B of the drive shaft 20. Both the coupling receptacle 11 and the coupling plug 21 have a cross-sctional profile that is shaped such that it can be positively engaged. In particular the cross-sectoinal profile of the coupling receptacle and/or the coupling plus may be hexagonal. The skilled person will however recognize that other positively engageable profiles are possible, including for example triangular, rectangluar, or any other polygonal shape. Exemplary polygonal shapes also comprise star shapes and cross shapes. Combinations of different are possible.

摘要： The present invention is preferably directed to a dispenser of the type sold by 3M ESPE under the trade name Pentamix and as also described above. Such a dispenser preferably comprises at least a first and a second compartment for a first reservoir and a second reservoir, respectively, the first and the second reservoirs containing a first and a second component for the dental material, respectively. It further preferably comprises a first and a second plunger driven by a first drive for advancing the first and the second components from the first and the second reservoirs, respectively. Moreover, a dynamic mixer driven by a second drive for automatically mixing the first and second components to form the dental material from the first and second components is provided. Such a dispenser further preferably has a dispensing portion or mixing tip for dispensing the mixed dental material. The present invention is more particularly directed to a dispenser or method adapted for advancing and mixing at least one dental material, comprising at least one drive which is operated on a predetermined, non-uniform drive speed profile. Preferably an advancing speed profile is provided for advancing the components and/or a mixing speed profile is provided for mixing the components, and either profile may be a "drive speed profile" as that term is used herein. More preferably both profiles are provided.
