摘要： Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to transmission and detection of multi-channel signals in reduced channel format. An embodiment of a method for transmitting data includes determining whether a first type or a second type of content data is to be transmitted, where the first type of content data is to be transmitted at a first multiple of a base frequency and the second type of data is to be transmitted at a second multiple of the base frequency. The method further includes selecting one or more channels from a plurality of channels based on the type of content data, clocking a frequency on the first or second multiple of the base frequency according to the type of content data in the selected channels, modifying the content data to fit within a single output channel, and transmitting the modified data via a single output channel at the chosen multiple of the base frequency.

摘要： A stand alone instrument for enhancing chemical and physical reactions on the "bench" level by providing a single instrument capability of performing a variety of functions on a plurality of reaction vessels at the same time (in parallel), includes heating, cooling and five other functional capabilities, and more particularly to such instruments that provide the matrix of plural functions and plural reaction vessels, with the further ability of providing real time energy balance data on each reactor. Thus, the instruments provide for any or all of heating, cooling, reflux, inert gas blanketing, vacuuming, stirring and evaporation at each reactor. (The words "reactor", "microreactor", "reaction vessel" and "vessel" are used interchangeably herein, and generally refer to bench scale flasks, beakers and other reactors used by bench chemists, biochemists, physicists, biologists, research doctors, and the like.) In some embodiments, the instruments include cooling units which uniquely rely upon phase change coolant injections. In other embodiments, the instruments include cofinger stoppers, described below. The instruments may include both the phase change coolant systems and the cofinger stopper arrangements.

摘要： The present invention is a multiport cofinger as well as a device that includes a multiport cofinger stopper and a microreactor. The stopper includes a main housing with a central orifice and a plurality of outer orifices located about the central orifice, and a sealing mechanism on the sidewall of the main housing. The cofinger is a concentric set of two tubes, but not necessarily symmetrically concentric. The cofinger has at least one inside tube and an outside tube, and each of the tubes has an upper end and a lower end, the lower end of which may be closed or open. The sealing mechanism may be a tapering of the sidewall of the main housing to permit force fitting thereof into an opening of the microreactor or it may be designed for external stopper connection. Alternatively, it is at least one O-ring located about said sidewall of said main housing. In some embodiments, the main housing has an upper section and a lower section, with the lower section of smaller diameter than the upper section.
