摘要： Systems and method enabling substitute ringback tone service without change or modification of mobile switching center. Service control logics are programmed, in a service control point (SCP) (122), for a plurality of detection points (DPs) such as a call attempt DP and an answer DP in a call state model of a user, i.e., a terminated party. When detecting a call attempt DP, the terminated MSC (120) postpones the call process to the user and provides a service request to the SCP (122). The SCP (122) makes the terminated MSC (120) to be connected to the substitute ringback tone player (140), so that the substitute ringback tone player (140) plays, to the originated phone, the substitute ringback tone selected previously by the user. When detecting an answer DP, the terminated MSC releases the call to the substitute ringback tone player (140) and connects the call to the terminated phone.
