The use of the above-mentioned high-activity catalyst enables a highly syndiotactic styrene polymer to be produced efficiently.

The catalyst is a novel polymerization catalyst which has a high activity and can reduce the residual metal content of the polymer, simplify the polymer production process, reduce the production cost, and improve the polymer properties.

摘要： A process for producing a syndiotactic styrenic polymer, characterized in that the polymer is formed through at least two polymerization stages and that hydrogen is introduced in at least one arbitrary stage of them. According to this process, the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the polymer can efficiently be regulated.
