    • The object of the invention is a method and an apparatus to rotate a tube and to move it in the direction of its geometric centre axis (100.1) in its production process. The apparatus (1) consists of at least a chain (2), a drive wheel (3), a sheave (4), tensioner (7) and chain guides (9, 10). The chain has been set to go round the drive wheel and the sheave and the tube to be produced (100) so that there is an anti-skid contact between the chain and the tube and thus the tube rotates. The chain advances the length of the pitch (N) with every rotation of the tube (100) to the forward direction (x) and thus the tube advances rotating this distance into this direction per each rotation. The method according to the invention is used to produce tube (100) with the apparatus (1) according to the invention.
