摘要： An oral hygiene device in the form of an elongated strip of resilient material having in use a generally arcuate or U shape for insertion into a user's mouth and having a pair of opposed jaw members (10, 11; 12, 13) which receive the user's teeth. A connecting portion (20) extends between the jaw members so that the jaw members move towards each other upon pressure being applied to the connecting portion (20) by the user's teeth biting onto the connecting portion so as to press the jaw members (10, 11; 12, 13) into engagement with the front and back faces of the teeth. Further relative movement of the user's upper and lower teeth with a grinding, rotary or reciprocating movement causes the opposed jaw members to rub against and clean the front and back faces of the teeth. The inner faces (16, 17; 18, 19) of the jaw members (10, 11; 12, 13) which face each other and engage with the teeth are composed of a mildly abrasive material. The connecting portion (20) includes a raised structure (21, 22, 31) projecting into the region (14, 15) between the opposed jaw members (10, 11; 12, 13) so that the raised structure (21, 22, 31) can engage in and assist dislodgement of particles from the facing teeth surfaces of particularly the premolars and molars of the upper and lower jaws of the user. The connecting portion (20) is provided with a cavity (23) or a central core region (36) of softer material than the surrounding material of the connecting portion (20) so as to facilitate deformation.
