A hollow extrusion (28) formed from a plastic material defines an interior cross-section having an interior surface which is configured to receive the metal extrusion therein with the outer surface of the metal extrusion in confronting relation with the inner surface of the plastic extrusion. The corner connectors are formed from a non-corrosive structural material.

    • A one-piece extruded plastic channel (20) is configured to support two planar panels having a predetermined thickness in substantially parallel spaced relationship by receiving free edges of the panels therein.     • Extruded plastic mounting channels (12) are adapted to be attached in pairs to spaced apart parallel plane surfaces of the perimeter surrounding an opening in an air handling unit to support a filter element (24) overlying the opening. The channels (12) have first and second parallel spaced apart alternative mounting walls. Extending between the mounting walls are a pair of filter support walls. A first support wall (40) is substantially planar and defines a U-shaped filter support channel in cooperation with the spaced apart attachment walls. A second support wall (42) has a stepped configuration which defines a pair of spaced apart filter support walls. When two of the mounting channels are attached, through their first flat attachment wall, to spaced plane surfaces of an opening with their respective planar filter support walls facing each other, they will cooperate to support a filter having a thickness of two inches.

    • A support pan (12) for a heat exchange coil (20) in an air handling unit includes a top wall (32) made from a polymeric/co-polymeric material. The top wall includes an outer periphery (38) and defines a coil support region (28) and a condensate collecting region (44). A bottom wall (30) is substantially co-extensive with the top wall and has an outer periphery substantially (36) coincident with that of the top wall (32). Peripheral support channels (34) structurally engages the outer peripheries of the top wall and the bottom wall and supports the walls in substantially parallel spaced relationship with one another to define a confined space therebetween. The coil support region (28) of the top wall (32) includes a plurality of parallel coil support segments (26). Each of the support segments defines an upwardly facing support surface (24) configured to contact and support a lower (22) end of a coil (20) at a predetermined elevation.
