摘要： There is provided lightweight concrete compositions for fiber-reinforced lightweight concrete and air-entrained lightweight concrete. Fiber-reinforced lightweight concrete compositions comprise calcium aluminate cement, fibers, expanded glass granulate having a diameter of at most about 2 mm, water, and optionally at least one of talc, fly ash, cenospheres, a superplasticizer and a viscosity agent. Air-entraining lightweight concrete compositions comprise a foam and/or air-entraining agent, calcium aluminate cement, expanded glass granulate having a diameter of at most about 4 mm, water, and optionally at least one of cenospheres, and a superplasticizer. The lightweight concrete compositions are useful to make fire doors. Fire door frames can be made from the fiber-reinforced lightweight concrete compositions and door cores made from the air-entrained lightweight concrete compositions.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to combustion systems and components for rotary ramjet engines. An injection system, optionally stratified for ease of engine startup, provides an air and fuel mixture to a combustion chamber. An ignition system ignites the mixture. A flameholding system may be positioned for communication with the combustion chamber to force an ignited flow of the air and fuel mixture toward a center of rotation within the ramjet engine. The ramjet engine may comprise a diverging stator for improved exhaust efficiency. Ignition may take place in the engine air intake. Alternatively, ignition may take place within the combustion chamber using a dual-hub electrically charged system. An impulse turbine may use recirculation of injected fuel to cool a rim-rotor and/or to reduce windage on the rim-rotor. A sealing system may reduce gas leaks from a fuel conduit into the engine air intake.

The source covers at least partially a surface area thereof. A signal generator is in operative connection with the transducer to create electrical signals. A computer is in operative connection with the signal generator to cause it to generate the electrical signals. A mechanical input wave is created by the source at the first end of the waveguide. The mechanical input wave is constructed independently of data related to a mechanical wave received from a source in the medium and taking into account the different predetermined propagation velocities of at least two component waves of the mechanical input wave so that they combine with each other at a second end of the waveguide to form the desired mechanical output wave in the medium.

摘要： A reactor for steam-methane reforming is adapted to be received in a tube on a focal axis of a parabolic trough. The reactor may comprise an array of micro-reactors interconnected by a water manifold, a gas manifold, a syngas manifold, and at least one steam-methane reforming chamber configured for reforming steam and methane into syngases, the micro-reactors having a vaporization portion for producing steam. Radiation plates may extend on sides of the array of micro-reactors. Glazing may face and be spaced apart from a portion of the array of micro-reactors including at least one steam-methane reforming chamber, the glazing being conductively connected to the radiation plates for heat transfer therebetween, the at least one glazing allowing light from the parabolic trough to pass therethrough to reach the array of micro-reactors.

摘要： A neck mechanism for a mannequin comprises three or more joint units serially connected to provide joints for three or more rotational degrees of freedom (DOF). A rotational axis of a first DOF is configured to be aligned with a lateral axis of the mannequin. A rotational axis of a second DOF is configured to be aligned with an anterior-posterior axis of the mannequin. A rotational axis of a third DOF is configured to be aligned with a cranial- caudal axis of the mannequin. A bottom one of the joint units is adapted to be connected to a torso of the mannequin, and a top one of the at least three joint units is adapted to be connected to a skull. The mannequin may also have a skull connected to the top one of the joint units, and a trunk connected to the bottom one of the joint units. A system for simulating cervical spine motions is also provided.

摘要： A quantum dot structure having a split-gate geometry is provided. The quantum dot is configured for incorporation into a quantum dot array of a quantum processing unit. A gap between a reservoir accumulation gate and a quantum dot accumulation gate provides a tunnel barrier between an electric charge reservoir and a quantum dot well. An electrical potential applied to the gates defines a tunnel barrier height, width and charge tunneling rate between the well and the reservoir without relying on any barrier gate to control the charge tunneling rate.
