    • To provide an agent for the treatment of a top¬ coat paint film to impart stain resistance with which a stain resisting function can be imparted easily to a top-coat paint film which is the outermost paint film irrespective of the type or history of the top-coat paint film, with which a clean paint film is maintained over a long period of time and with which the abovementioned function is retained even when it is shielded from light for long periods of time, and a method for the treatment of a top-coat paint film to impart stain resistance. [Means of Resolution] An agent for the treatment of a top-coat paint film to impart stain resistance which contains (a) from 3 to 10 mass% of a compound which can be represented by the formula (1) which is indicated below or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof, (b) from 0.01 to 1 mass% of a catalyst with which the aforementioned (a) component can be hydrolyzed, (c) from 0.5 to 3 mass% of an alkylsulf osuccinic acid salt based surfactant and (d) from 86 to 96.49 mass% of an alcohol based solvent which has not more than 3 carbon atoms. Formula (1) R 1 -(OCH 2 CH 2 ) n -O-Si(OR 2 ) 3 (1) (In this formula R 1 is an alkyl group which has from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, R 2 is an alkyl group which has from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and the three R 2 may be the same or different.     • The invention relates to a heat-hardenable paint composition which contains (A) vinyl based copolymer of hydroxyl group value from 20 to 200 mg KOH/g, being a copolymer of from 5 to 70 wt.% hydroxyl group containing vinyl based monomer which can be represented by general formula (1) and from 95 to 30 wt.% other vinyl based monomer (a-2), and (B) 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triscarbamic acid ester which can be represented by general formula (2): C3N3(NHCOOR)3 or an oligomer thereof, in which the mol ratio of hydroxyl groups originating from the aforementioned (A) component: NHCOOR groups originating from the aforementioned (B) component in the composition is from 1:3 to 3:1. In general formula (1), X , X and X each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. Moreover j is an integer of value from 0 to 2, m is an integer of value from 3 to 5, and n is an integer of value from 0 to 5. However, j and n cannot both be 0.     • Thermoset paint compositions with which paint films can be formed which have excellent acid resistance, abrasion resistance and adhesion, and with which the water repelling properties and staining resistance can be retained for a longer period of time than with the conventional fluorine resin based paint films, are obtained. Constitution: Thermoset paint film compositions which contain (a) from 20 to 80 % by weight of fluorine containing copolymer, comprising fluoro-olefin and vinyl based monomer, of which the solubility parameter value is from 9.0 to 10.5 and the hydroxy group value is within the range from 60 to 150 mgKOH/g; (b) from 20-80 % by weight of vinyl based (co)polymer, comprising vinyl based monomer which contains at least 10 % by weight of monomer which can be repesented by formula (1), of which the solubility parameter is from 9.0 to 10.5 and the hydroxy group value is within the range from 60 to 150 mgKOH/g; (c) from 5 to 40 % by weight of alkyl etherified melanine resin; and (d) from 2 to 40 % by weight of blocked polyisocyanate compound, and with which the glass transition temperature of the paint film after hardening is at least 50 DEG C.
