摘要： A gear production apparatus (10) for producing a gear from a blank includes a base (12), a first stock (14) slidable along a longitudinal axis (X) of the base (12) and including a first tool (22) rotatably supported thereon and a second stock (18) slidable along a first transverse axis (Z) of the base (12) and including a second tool (26) rotatably supported thereon. A blank retainer (28) rotatably supports and selectively drives the blank about a first rotational axis (C). The first stock (14) slides along the longitudinal axis (Z) to engage the first tool (22) with the blank and to form rough teeth in the blank. The second stock (18) slides along the transverse axis (Z) to engage the first tool (22) with the blank, which rotatably drives the second tool (26) to operate on the blank.
