    • The invention described herein relates to a rotary recliner assembly (100) having a plurality of roller blocks (145,150) operable for permitting desired position of a seat backrest over a wide range of reclining positions. Each of the roller blocks (145,150) includes a plurality of roller members of different sizes. A resilient member (160) connects two consecutive roller blocks (145,150) with each other. An elongated member (165), having a flanged portion (405), is adapted to fit within the first flange (120) such that at least one end of the flanged portion (405) comes in contact with one end of at least one roller block (145,150).
