摘要： A method of producing a microencapsulated pharmaceutical formulation is disclosed comprising causing a dye to be attached to the surface of pharmaceutical particles or particle clusters and applying a source of radiant energy to the dye in the presence of a liquid polymeric or polymerisable material so as to cause the material to cross-link, producing a conformal layer of cross-linked polymer on the particulate surfaces. Preferably, the polymer provides an immuno-protective layer around the particles, while allowing therapeutic components to exit the microcapsules. Microencapsulated pharmaceutical formulations and their medical use are also disclosed, especially for the treatment of diabetes by encapsulating insulin secreting cells.

摘要： The present invention provides a search method and system for matching a commodity to one or more applications for using the commodity. A plurality of properties associated with the commodity are identified step 101). A collection of documents for searching for a plurality of combinations of said properties is then defined (step 102), wherein the combination includes a single property or multiple properties. The defined collection of documents is searched for all occurences of the combination of properties, and the hits retrieved for those documents that include the properties (STEP 105). The hits are then associated with one or more subclasses of a classification scheme (STEP 108), and reviewed for those hits that include the properties of the commodity but not the commodity, wherein subclasses not including hits that include the commodity are matched as applications for the commodity.
