    • Provided is a method and apparatus for transmitting a reference signal by a base station in a multi-cell cooperative communication environment. The method for transmitting the reference signal according to the present invention comprises the steps of: transmitting cell ID information of a second cell to a terminal which uses a first cell as a serving cell; generating reference signal sequences in the first cell and the second cell on the basis of the same cell ID; and performing resource element mapping on each of the generated reference signals, generating signals, and transmitting the signals to the terminal, wherein the same cell ID used in generating the reference signal sequences is a cell ID of the first cell or a cell ID of the second cell. According to the present invention, problems of collision may be prevented which may otherwise occur due to different reference signal sequences being based on the respective cell IDs in cases where cell IDs of RRHs that form a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) set with specific cells such as macro cells in a CoMP environment are different from each other.

    • The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling uplink transmission power in a wireless communication system. The present invention sets forth a method for controlling uplink transmission power, comprising the steps of: receiving setup information which indicates transmission power of a reference signal from a transmission and reception point; receiving the reference signal from the transmission and reception point; calculating an RSRP using the received reference signal; calculating a predicted path attenuation value for a link between the transmission and reception point and the terminal on the basis of the transmission power of the reference signal and the RSRP; and calculating uplink transmission power for the transmission and reception point on the basis of the predicted path attenuation value. When a terminal performs an uplink transmission to a plurality of transmission and reception points using the same physical cell ID, a predicted path attenuation value with each transmission and reception point can be identified so that an efficient uplink power control is possible.

    • The present invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting control information supporting a coordinated multiple point method (CoMP). Disclosed in the present invention is a base station comprising: a downlink control information (DCI) generation unit for determining the number of layers used in transmitting a code word, determining an antenna port used in transmitting a demodulation reference signal for estimating a channel for the code word, and generating DCI including a multilayer indicator showing the determined number of layers, and information on the antenna port; a data processing unit for mapping a transmission block on the code word, mapping the mapped code word on the determined number of layers, and mapping the demodulation reference signal on at least one antenna ports; and a downlink transmission unit for mapping the downlink control information on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), mapping the layer mapped code word on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and transmitting to a terminal, the PDCCH, the PDSCH, and the demodulation reference signal. The present invention supports both a single cell MIMO and the CoMP method in a downlink without increasing the complexity of blind decoding, and supports dynamic switching between the single cell MIMO and the CoMP method.

    • The present invention relates to a demand response system and method using a smart portal for a smart grid environment where utilities including water/sewage, gas, electricity, heating/air-conditioning and the like are combined and managed collectively within a local area. As such, the present invention changes the traditional utility 'supply' system (i.e., 'billing for the past use') into a utility 'purchase' system (i.e., 'pre-billing for the future use'); calculates, for the efficient management of user demands, a customer baseline load (CBL) based on the analysis of usage data, and then provides, via the smart portal, the information on a DR billing plan for a utility use having the calculated CBL taken into consideration to a customer, such that the customer can control the utilities' demand for himself. The demand response system according to the present invention comprises: an automatic meter reading (AMR) unit which reads each consumer's utility meters to generate metering information; a multiple utility combination unit (MUC) which provides the information on demand response (DR) bill calculations based on the AMR data and manages utilities in combination; an eco index (EI) calculation unit which calculates an eco index customized for each customer based on the AMR data; a demand response (DR) unit which obtains CBL information based on the AMR data and computes a DR bill by using the CBL data, DR data and eco index obtained, and outputs the DR bill; and a smart portal (SP) unit which provides users with the calculated DR bill in a particular form. According to the present invention, the DR system can provide environmental and social information, in addition to economic information that has already been provided, and simplify the database while diversifying the data transmission formats and methods. Also, the DR system is capable of maintaining a stable service quality to meet real-time demands in the DR services and reducing the facility and maintenance costs by decreasing the peak demand of electricity.

According to the present invention, the invention is capable of overcoming a PDCCH capacity limit due to a wireless resource in a limited control region.
