    • The present invention relates to a vehicle door lock arrangement which comprises a lock mechanism having a locking arm (1) which can be moved between a locking position, in which the door opening mechanism is latched, and a mechanism release position in which the door can be opened. According to the invention, the lock arrangement includes a latching device (6) which is mounted within thevehicle door so as to be inaccessible from within and from outside the vehicle and which is manoeuvered to and from a latching position through the agency of an electric signal, the locking arm of the door lock mechanism being latched against movement when the latching device is in its latching position.
