    • In the known methods for collecting and processing blood for a blood bank, at least one blood bag, which is packed sterilely in a package, is filled with blood and then transported in a transport container. The apparatus used for this comprises a sterile package for at least one blood bag, having a completely enclosed interior space to hold the blood bag and a closure element used to open up the interior space. To device on this basis a method that allows simple and sterile collection and processing of the blood for storage and to provide a suitable apparatus therefor, enabling the blood for storage to be handled with little expenditure of work and low risk of contamination, the invention proposes with respect to the method that the package be used as transport container and regarding the apparatus that the interior space has a volume of at least 500 ml or can be expanded to at least 500 ml by applying an internal pressure directed outwards from the interior space, and that the interior space can be closed by means of the closure element.

    • Cell-cultivation methods are known in which a cell product released by a first cell culture is delivered to a second cell culture. Proceeding therefrom, in order to reduce the risk of contamination, the first and second cell cultures are disposed adjacent each other and separated from each other by a membrane which is impervious to the cells of the cell culture but pervious to the cell product, the cell product being delivered through the membrane to the second cell culture. A culture vessel is also known for cell cultures, this vessel having a first cell culture chamber, a supply chamber for accommodating a nutritive medium, a dialysis membrane disposed between the cell culture chamber and the supply chamber, and a gas-exchange membrane which externally delimits the culture chamber at least partially. Proceeding therefrom, a culture vessel which is suitable for co-cultivation of cells is produced which has a second cell-culture chamber for accommodating a second cell culture, this second cell-culture chamber being separated from the first cell-culture chamber by a filtration membrane which is impervious to the cells of the first and second cell cultures.
