    • The invention relates to a method for producing a bone cement with bioactivity and a corresponding bone cement kit. The method comprises mixing a monomer-free polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) with a mass average molecular weight of 30,000 to 200,000 and an acid number of 10 to 350 mg KOH per g polymer in am amount of 5 to 13 wt. %, with a solvent for PMMA and 40 to 97 wt. % of at least one crystalline and/or glass-crystalline material is added to the mixture with the proviso that the crystalline or glass crystalline material contains 15 - 60 wt.% CaO, 30 - 50 wt.% P2O5, 0 - 9 wt.% ZrO2 and 0 - 3 wt.% fluoride and the mixing and stirring is carried out at a temperature of 10 to 500°C to give a free-flowing mixture with an open processing time in the range 1 to 20 minutes. The addition id preferably of 0.1-10 wt.% ZnO. The material is preferably used as cement or bone filler material in dentistry and as cement for kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty and as fixing cement for joint prostheses.
