The receiver may also determine signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) values based on each of the consecutive pilot bursts, and interpolate the SINR for decoding one or more of the sub-segments. The receiver may be an access terminal receiver operating in a code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular system.

摘要： Embodiments include methods of testing wireless devices for beam forming performance. Various aspects may include determining measurements of communication performance of the wireless device at each of a number of different angular orientations of the wireless device with respect to an antenna within a test chamber, and determining whether the wireless device satisfies beam forming performance requirements by comparing the measurements of communication performance to pass/fail criteria. Further embodiments may include a wireless device testing apparatus configured to perform testing wireless devices for beam forming performance. In some embodiments, a wireless device testing apparatus may include a test chamber, an antenna within the test chamber, a rotatable positioning system within the test chamber configured to hold a wireless device and rotate the wireless device within a range of orientations with respect to the antenna, and a computing device coupled to the antenna and the rotatable positioning system.

摘要： When a user equipment engaged in mobile communications transfers from a network with one radio access technology (RAT) to another network with a different radio access technology, maintaining continuity of location based services can improve system performance. A user equipment may perform a series of checks when undergoing inter-RAT transfer to determine if a location based services protocol used with the source network is operable on the target network. The UE also determines if location based services sessions are at a point where they can be continued following inter-RAT transfer. Where possible, protocols and sessions are maintained to preserve location based services continuity.

The design includes estimating peak values of the composite multi-carrier signal, determining a local threshold set including one local threshold for each carrier based on a configurable total threshold representing a maximum aggregate signal level for a sum of all signals to be transmitted over the multiple carriers, and clipping one signal to be transmitted over one carrier when the signal exceeds a corresponding local threshold and a sum of all signals to be transmitted over multiple carriers exceed the total threshold. Alternately, the design may include estimating peak signal values for signals to be transmitted in the multi-carrier system, and selectively clipping any signal wherein at least one peak signal value exceeds a local threshold and peak signal values for a sum of all signals to be transmitted exceed a global threshold.

摘要： A method for interference reduction is described. The method is implemented in a wireless device. It is determined that a page is going to be received via a secondary receiver. It is also determined that a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) image from a transmitter will cause interference with the secondary receiver when the page is received. A sampling frequency of the DAC for the transmitter is changed so that there are not any DAC images from the transmitter that will cause interference with the secondary receiver.
