    • The group of inventions (embodiments) relates to processes for producing a decorative effect on sheet articles and web materials with a relief surface. The method involves applying a layer of a substance to a relief surface and subsequently removing the excess substance layer using a mechanical removal device which is in a state of motion relative to the elongated article, and curing the substance found in the depressions of the relief surface of the elongated article. During removal of the excess substance layer, the article undergoing treatment is situated on the surface of a supporting device, said surface being located opposite the movable mechanical removal device. The technical result is an increase in quality and reliability during the efficient formation of a decorative coating on the relief surface of an elongated material.
