摘要： An ambulance cot and accessories therefor. The ambulance cot has (1) a docking mechanism for facilitating an anchoring of the litter frame to the floor of the cargo area of an ambulance; (2) an articulated patient support deck on the litter frame capable of raising and lowering a head section while simultaneously raising and lowering a foot section or orienting the foot section to form an inverted V-shaped gatch supporting the knees at a position elevated with respect to the patient's hip; (3) a pair of stowable pull handles at opposite ends of the ambulance cot are provided to facilitate an ease of manipulation of the ambulance cot while the wheels are engaged with the floor for transport of the patient from one location to another; (4) an upstanding push bar in each of the four corners of the cot; and (5) a support of an incubator assembly.

摘要： A patient transfer device including a retractable wheel assembly, a caster brake and a track extension is provided. The retractable wheel assembly can include a cammed linkage arm operatively coupled to a retractable wheel. As the patient transfer device moves downwardly over a step, the cammed linkage arm can bear against the step, rotating the retractable wheel to a stowed position. The caster brake and the track extension can cooperate to stabilize the patient transfer device at the top and bottom of a stairway, respectively. The caster brake and the track extension can each include a high-friction engagement surface that is vertically offset from the respective caster and track. The retractable wheel assembly, caster brake and track extension can improve the control the patient transfer device along level, ramped and stepped surfaces, particularly for operators lacking sufficient training or experience.

The retractable wheel assembly can include a cammed linkage arm operatively coupled to a retractable wheel. 摘要： An ambulance cot is disclosed and the ambulance cot has, if desired, a wheel supported base and a litter raisable and lowerable by a powered elevating mechanism oriented between the base and the litter. The ambulance cot also has wireless communication capability to facilitate communication between the ambulance cot and a loading system on an ambulance as well as facilitating wireless troubleshooting via a handheld wireless unit. The ambulance cot also has a longitudinally extendable head section. The ambulance cot also has several accessories, such as an accessory hook mounted to the underside of the fowler, and a collapsible pouch accessory fastened to the retractable head section and the litter frame.
