    • In at least some embodiments, the present invention relates to methods and systems for enabling media content to be utilized or output by way of media presentation devices (102, 124, 126, 128, 130, 132). In one such embodiment, a method includes receiving at a first cloud (104) a first signal (404) from a first media presentation device (124) indicative of a request or command that a content signal transmission (401) be paused, and sending a second signal (406) including bookmark information from the first cloud (104) to a second media presentation device (130). The method further includes receiving a third signal (416) from the second media presentation device (130), the third signal being indicative of a further request or command that the transmission of the media content signal be resumed, and resuming the transmission (422). In additional embodiments, the present invention relates to methods of operating a media presentation device (102, 124, 126, 128, 130, 132) so as to perform a resumed displaying of video media content.

    • An improved wireless communications system for efficiently delivering multicast transmissions within a CDMA wireless communications network. To minimize use of network resources, a multicast group Walsh code is dynamically assigned for transmissions to group members for the duration of the session. Reverse link multicast long code covers are assigned by a base station controller and transmitted to the mobile station on a forward channel as derived from the multicast IP address. A multicast reflection function is provided at the base station controller or the IP gateway to transmit multicast messages received from mobile stations to other group members in their coverage area. The assigned group Walsh codes and long codes are used to spread all multicast transmissions on the CDMA forward and reverse channels, respectively.
