    • The invention relates to a method in winding of a web, in which method the web is wound onto a core (21) while supported by winding drums (11, 12), in which method the web is cut by a cutting device (19), a finished web roll (10) is removed by means of a transfer device (16), a new core (21) is moved to a space between the winding drums (11, 12), and in which method the winding is stopped to remove the finished roll (10) and to start a new roll. In the method, the core is moved onto support of one winding drum and a support member (22) and held in place by means of the support member (22) until a movable winding drum/movable winding drums (11, 12) has/have been moved to the starting position of winding. The invention also relates to a device in winding of a web, which device comprises winding drums (11, 12), on support and by means of which the web is wound onto a core (21) into a web roll (10), which device further comprises a cutting device (19) for cutting the web and a transfer device (16) for removing the finished web roll (10) and a core transfer device (20) for taking a new core (21) to a winding position onto support of a winding drum. A support member (22) is arranged in connection with the core transfer device (20) to hold the core in place against one winding drum during a set change in winding, that the core transfer device (20) of the device is placed beneath the winding drums (11, 12), and that at least one winding drum is movable.

    • The invention relates to a method for winding a paper web, in which method the web (W) is longitudinally divided into slit webs of desired widths and the slit webs are wound into rolls (R) about roll cores (H) or similar centers at a winding station (17A, 17B). According to the method, the web (W) is cut by means of a web-severing device (16) in conjunction with the roll set change of the winding operation. The method employs at least two slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) for slitting the web (W) and when given ones of the slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) are slitting the web (W) into one set of slit webs, the desired ones of the other slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) are preset into desired slitting width positions for slitting the next set of slit webs. The invention also concerns an apparatus for winding a paper web, the apparatus comprising slitter assemblies (15) for longitudinally dividing a web (W) into slit webs of desired widths and a winding station (17A; 17B) for winding the slit webs into rolls (R) and a web-severing device for cutting the web (W).     • The invention concerns a method in winding of a web, wherein the web (W) is wound onto a spool (14) on support roll of a support roll (16) while passed through a nip (N) formed between the support roll (16) and the roll (15) that is being produced.
