摘要： A system and method for attaching a coverlay to a circuit board to protect patterns or the like includes a uniting machine for splitting a coverlay and a release sheet of a coverlay sheet and then uniting the coverlay and the release sheet together. Provided on a downstream side of the uniting machine is a press for punching the coverlay sheet to produce a half -processed coverlay sheet having a half-processed coverlay, an adhesive agent and a release sheet. A splitting machine is provided on a downstream side of the press and adapted to split the half-processed coverlay and the release sheet of the half -processed coverlay sheet. A cutting machine is adapted to cut the half-processed coverlay into a final coverlay. A robot is employed to transport the final coverlay from the cutting machine onto a circuit board and then to attach the same to the circuit board.
