摘要： A pharmaceutical aerosol is disclosed which is suitable for delivering an active compound to the mucosa of the nose, the osteomeatal complex or a paranasal sinus. The pressure of the aerosol is not constant, but pulsates at a frequency from about 10 to 90 Hz. The aerosol is further characterised in that it exhibits a low effective flow rate of less than about 5 litres per minute. The aerosol is, inter alia, suitable for the prevention, management, or treatment of a disease, symptom, or condition affecting the nose or the paranasal sinuses, such as acute and chronic sinusitis.

摘要： The invention provides pharmaceutical aerosols suitable for inhalation. The aerosols comprise a water-soluble active ingredient exhibiting a poor taste and at least one taste-masking excipient. In a further aspect, the invention provides methods to produce solid and liquid compositions with improved stability in the dissolved state which are useful for preparing such aerosols. The aerosols can be administered to the upper or lower parts of the respiratory system using appropriate nebulisers to treat upper and lower respiratory tract diseases with distinct medications. Combination drug products comprising at least two active drugs may have an additive and/or synergistic effect.

The compositions are suitable for oral or nasal inhalation, but also for topical or oromucosal administration.
