    • The present invention relates to a caulking tool (1) comprising: an elongate body portion (10) having a longitudinal axis (A), a first opening (11) formed at a first inlet end (11'), the inlet end (11') further being configured for connection to a source of caulking material, a second opening (12) formed at a second outlet end (12'), and a tapering tubular portion (13) formed there between; a caulking vane component (20) comprising a caulking vane (20' ) connected to or connectable to said elongate body portion (10), wherein said vane (20') comprises a substantially straight front edge (21), and two side edges (22, 23) configured to extend from the outlet (12) to the straight front edge (21); wherein said vane (20) defines a plane (P), and is devoid of openings or holes, wherein said plane (P) forms an angle (V1) of 0-5° relative to said longitudinal axis (A) of the elongate body portion (10); wherein said plane (P) of said vane (20) is configured to be substantially flush with the outlet (12); wherein said straight front edge (21) extend to two sides of said outlet (12), and where said straight front edge (21) forms a second angle (V2) relative to said longitudinal axis (A) in the interval of 95-110°.

    • A fluid dispenser (6) is disclosed where a backoff distance is determined and implemented to prevent leakage while dispensing sequentially an accurate, precise amount of fluid depending on the fluid (8) remaining in a syringe-type dispenser. The fluid characteristics of the fluid, e.g. viscosity, surface tension, etc. affect the backoff distance that may be determined heuristically for fluid type, amount of fluid remaining in the syringe and amount to be dispensed. Once the fluid characteristics are known, the dispensing may be accomplished automatically with a processor loading new drive and backoff steps to a motor controller.
