    • The device comprises an incandescent helix (22, 92) downstream of the injection nozzle and tapering outward in the direction of the combustion chamber. The helix is surrounded by a sleeve (30, 96) which secures the final turn (88, 93) of the incandescent helix (22, 92) on the chamber side and supports a contact ring disc (46, 98) to which the other final turn (86, 94) of the incandescent helix (22, 92) is secured. The final turn (88, 93) on the chamber side is applied against an annular step (90, 107) of the sleeve (30, 96) facing the chamber, which surrounds a through-passage (91, 106) the internal diameter of which is smaller than the external diameter of the final turn (88, 93) on the chamber side, yet larger than the outer diameter of the other turns of the incandescent body (22, 92). In this way, the incandescent helix (22, 92) can still be inserted and connected when the contact ring disc (46, 98) is already attached to the sleeve (30, 96) and forms with the latter a prefabricated unit.

    • An injection nozzle fitted with an inductive needle movement probe (28) is to be so constructed that the coil (32) is properly sealed against oil leaks without requiring more space than a design without an oil seal for the coil (32). To this end, the core (36) of the induction coil (30) is extended into a lengthened section (107) of the chamber in the recoil body (25) enclosing the induction coil (30) in which is fitted a ring (56) sealing the coil (32) against the guide slot of the magnet armature (38) in the recoil body (25). In addition, the annular slot between the recoil body (25) and the wall of the drilling in the nozzle holder (10) enclosing it is sealed by a ring (112). The clamping flange (62) linked to the coil core (36) bears directly on the adjacent annular flange (48) of the coil body (34) and the coil (32) makes contact with the connecting wires (40, 42) on the far side of the clamping flange (62). Preferred field of application is in injection nozzles for diesel engines.

    • A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines has a heater plug (22) mounted downstream of the nozzle opening and integrated in the union nut (12) that tightens the nozzle body (10) against the nozzle holder. The union nut has downstream of the nozzle body (10) a supporting shoulder (18) against which rests a sleeve (30) that surrounds and carries the heater plug (22). The heater plug (22) is composed of a sheathed heating conductor formed as a dimensionally stable spiral (50) and operating as an earth conductor between the contact element (66) and the sleeve (30). The arrangement is thus simpler and easier to assemble. In a preferred embodiment, the connecting end (58a) of the sheathed heating conductor (22a) is conceived as a so-called cold end, thus thermally relieving the adjacent parts, especially the seal of the sheathed heating conductor (22a).
