    • The present invention relates to a pad for a touch panel and a touch panel using same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pad for a touch panel and a touch panel using same, the pad for a touch panel including an insular layer with conductive patterns, wherein the insular layer has touch patterns and lead wires formed on the top surface thereof and connection electrodes, each of which is formed by one end of each of the lead wires extending to an edge of the insular layer. The pad for a touch panel comprises at the least: i) insulator layers with conductive patterns, including the insulator layer, a transparent conductive coating layer, which is laminated on a portion of the top surface of the insulator layer, and has the touch patterns, lead wires and connection electrode patterns thereon, and a metal coating layer, which is laminated on a portion of the top surface of the transparent conductive coating layer and has the lead wires and connection electrodes thereon; ii) an adhesive layer, which is laminated on the top surface of the top layer of the insulator layers with conductive patterns; and iii) a coupling layer, which is coupled to the top surface of the adhesive layer, wherein the connection electrode portion includes an opening portion, in which the top surface of the metal coating layer is open externally, and the opening portion includes a corrosion-resistant metal layer, which is coated on the opening portion in order to disconnect the opening portion from the outside. The present invention solves the problem of corrosion in the opening portion of the connection electrode portion, which enhances the durability of the touch panel, by using a corrosion-resistant metal to coat the opening portion of the connection electrode portion of the pad for a touch pad, the opening portion of the connection electrode portion being provided in order for the pad for a touch panel to be electrically connected to an external circuit board such as a FPCB.

    • The invention relates to a method for bonding a pad for a touch panel to a circuit board, which involves electrically interconnecting the pad for a touch panel and the circuit board, wherein a touch pattern and a lead wire are formed on the upper surface of the pad, and one end of the lead wire extends to an edge of the pad so as to form a connection electrode having a metal coating layer and so as to form an insulation layer, wherein the circuit board includes a coupling electrode corresponding to the connection electrode. The bonding method comprises the following steps: applying an antioxidant material to a portion or the entirety of the upper surface of the metal coating layer of the pad for a touch panel; preparing a stacked body in which an adhesive layer is stacked in a portion of the metal coating layer and in a portion of the antioxidant material, and a bonding layer is bonded onto the upper surface of the adhesive layer; and stacking and bonding the circuit board including the coupling electrode to the connection electrode, which is an open portion of the metal coating layer such that the circuit board faces the connection electrode with an anisotropic conductive adhesive therebetween. According to the present invention, the antioxidant material is applied to the metal coating layer exposed during the bonding of the pad for a touch panel to the circuit board so as to simultaneously seal and bond the metal coating layer, thereby shortening the time required for manufacturing an assembly consisting of the pad for a touch panel and the circuit board, and improving productivity.

    • The present invention relates to a pad for a touch panel and a touch panel using same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pad for a touch panel and a touch panel using same, the pad for a touch panel including an insular layer with conductive patterns, wherein the insular layer has touch patterns and lead wires formed on the top surface thereof and connection electrodes, each of which is formed by one end of each of the lead wires extending to an edge of the insular layer. The pad for a touch panel comprises at the least: i) insulator layers with conductive patterns, including the insulator layer, a transparent conductive coating layer, which is laminated on a portion of the top surface of the insulator layer, and has the touch patterns, lead wires and connection electrode patterns thereon, and a metal coating layer, which is laminated on a portion of the top surface of the transparent conductive coating layer and has the lead wires and connection electrodes thereon; ii) an adhesive layer, which is laminated on the top surface of the top layer of the insulator layers with conductive patterns; and iii) a coupling layer, which is coupled to the top surface of the adhesive layer, wherein the connection electrode portion includes an opening portion, in which the top surface of the metal coating layer is open externally, and the opening portion includes a corrosion-resistant metal layer, which is coated on the opening portion in order to disconnect the opening portion from the outside. The present invention solves the problem of corrosion in the opening portion of the connection electrode portion, which enhances the durability of the touch panel, by using a corrosion-resistant metal to coat the opening portion of the connection electrode portion of the pad for a touch pad, the opening portion of the connection electrode portion being provided in order for the pad for a touch panel to be electrically connected to an external circuit board such as a FPCB.

    • The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pad for a touch panel and to a pad for a touch panel manufactured by same, wherein the method comprises the steps of: preparing a pad, which includes a light-transmitting insulator layer made of an organic insulator or an inorganic insulator, a light-transmitting conductor coating layer formed at a top of the light-transmitting insulator layer, and a metal coating layer formed at a top of the light-transmitting conductor coating layer, for manufacturing a touch panel; etching, from the metal coating layer of the pad for manufacturing the touch panel, at least a portion of the metal coating layer corresponding to a window, while leaving a portion of the metal coating layer corresponding to a lead line unetched; and etching the etched pad for manufacturing the touch panel to form the lead line and a touch pattern. Through such operations, residual defects, consisting of metal dots left due to defective etching of the metal coating layer, are removed from a window portion, which is required to be transparent without blemishes when the pad is coupled to a display device such as an LCD, and thus the manufacturing yield of the pad for a touch panel can be improved.
