摘要： A heater device that is for use in supplying fluids to a living entity, such as a human or an animal. The heater (10) is a transformer and includes a core (12), a primary winding (14) and a secondary (16). The core is a pair of E-shaped core section, each having an outer leg (22) and an inner leg (24), with the outer legs being longer that the inner legs. The core thus forms a receiver opening (28) intermediate the inner legs that slidingly receives a self-contained cartridge (30) enclosing the secondary. When inserted, the secondary is in the magnetic flux created by an alternating power supplied to the primary windings and the secondary is shorted out to convert that magnetic flux into heat to warm the fluid passing through the secondary to the desired temperature. The cartridge is easily removable for cleaning and/or replacement.

摘要： An equalizing roll and web tracking apparatus to be used in manufacturing for providing equal tension across a web during winding operations. The equalizing roll (10) utilizes a common axis shaft (12) mounted horizontally on two bearings (16) or clamped rigid supports (17) allowing for rotation. Mounted in the center of the shaft is a bearing assembly (18) having convex and concave portions (20, 22) disposed within a sleeve (26). The bearing assembly is centrally mounted inside a hollow cylinder or roll (30) machined to be in balance with respect to the centrally disposed bearing assembly. The equalizing roll tracking apparatus (100) utilizes an adjustable control arm assembly (102) having a pair of adjustable pivots (134, 136) with steering arms (140) linked to sensor arms (106). The distal ends (112) of the sensor arms are in contact with the edges of a web of material (116).

摘要： An apparatus and method for the non-surgical removal of embryos in swine and for the transfer and placement of the embryos into a surrogate mother sow. An introducer and speculum are used and are introduced through the cervix of the sow. The tip of the introducer vibrates at a high frequency those vibrations are transmitted to the distal end of a specially contoured tip. A catheter apparatus is used after gaining entry to the uterus, and the catheter apparatus includes coaxially aligned inner and outer catheters. The outer catheter has a pair of individually inflatable and deflatable cuffs and an ingress port between the cuffs and an outlet for the discharge of fluid. Continued discharge of the flushing fluid from the distal end of the inner catheter causes a flushing of the embryos from the uterine horn to the collection chamber. The embryos are separated from the flushing fluid and subjected to a standard protocol in order to provide pathogen free embryos for transfer and international distribution.
