摘要： A device for inspecting the support plates (26) and tube sheet of a nuclear steam generator. The device comprises a boom (14, 16) for extending into an access port of a steam generator and into a lane separating two rows of members, the boom being uprightable within the lane (21); and a video camera (30) attached to the boom for inspecting the tube members and support plates within the lane when the boom is uprighted. In a preferred embodiment the video camera comprises a charge coupled device affixed to a remotely controlled pan and tilt mechanism.

摘要： Device (10) and method for monitoring an environment. The device described herein receives and displays an electrically collected and transmitted image of an environment. The device comprises a housing (12) which includes a base panel (16), substantially vertically disposed side (18 and 20), front (22) and rear panels (24) and a substantially horizontally disposed top panel (28). Hardware for receiving and displaying the electrically collected and transmitted image of an environment is housed within the housing. Hardware is also provided for electrically connecting the device to an external source of electrical signals, the electrical connecting hardware (36) being fixedly mounted on at least one of the panels and being accessible from the exterior of the device. The method for monitoring an environment involves collecting and electrical signal which is representative of a state of the environment, and transmitting and displaying the signal on a transportable device for receiving and displaying the electrical signal at a first location.

摘要： A device (10) suited for inspecting selected positions of a nuclear power plant. The invention comprises a boom (12) for extending to a position in a nuclear power station to be inspected, and a video camera (14) affixed to the boom for permitting the visual inspection of the position to be inspected. In preferred embodiments, the video camera (14) is affixed to a pan and tilt mechanism which may be adjusted by a remote joystick or by a control box (25) situated on the boom. The video camera includes an auto-focus feature.
