摘要： The present invention pertains to keratin-binding polypeptides derived from the keratin-binding domain B (KBD-B) of desmoplakin, which have improved structural or functional properties in comparison to the native KBD-B. It furthermore pertains to the preparation of said polypeptides, to compositions comprising said polypeptides, and to their use in cosmetic and therapeutic applications. A method for identification of such improved keratin-binding proteins is also presented. Said method is based on a novel three dimensional model of keratin which is also part of present invention.

摘要： Disclosed are keratin-binding polypeptide agents in the form of conjugates (A'B'C') or (A'B'C'D') comprising (A') a polypeptide sequence derived from a keratin-binding polypeptide (A), and (B') a statistical average of at least one polymer chain derived from a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer (B) that carries lateral and/or terminal reactive functional groups (b1) and is selected in such a way as to form a homogeneous aqueous solution or dispersion along with the keratin-forming polypeptide (A) to be reacted to form the conjugate (A'B'C') or (A'B'C'D') in standard conditions, the polypeptide (A) in said aqueous solution or dispersion still having a keratin-binding activity. (C') At least one linker group links the polymer chain (B') to the polypeptide sequence (A'), and (D') optionally, a statistical average of at least one effector group is linked to the polymer chain (B'). Also disclosed are a method for the production of said active polypeptide substances and the use thereof for modifying keratin and keratin-containing materials and producing cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions.

摘要： Disclosed are fusion proteins comprising two detection portions and a periplasmic binding protein (PBP) portion between this two detection portions which undergoes a conformational change upon binding of a compound. Also described are nucleic acid molecules comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding such a fusion protein as well as expression cassettes, vectors, transgenic plants and transgenic non-human animals comprising said nucleic acid molecules. In addition, described are methods for detecting an analyte in a sample or in a cell using said fusion protein, and optionally, a control sensor allowing a calibration of analyte detection made by said fusion protein. Also described are such control sensors and nucleic acid molecules encoding them, as well as diagnostic compositions, kits and uses of the fusion protein and the control sensor for in vitro or in vivo analyte detection and preparing a diagnostic composition.
