摘要： Disclosed are a compound inhibitory of HIF-1 activity, a method for preparing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as an active ingredient. The compound has anticancer activity which is attributable to its inhibitory activity against HIF-1, but not to non-selective cellular toxicity. Thus, having inhibitory activity against HIF-1, the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be used as an ingredient in an anticancer agent for various cancers including large intestine cancer, hepatic cancer, stomach cancer and breast cancer. Further, the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is applicable to the treatment of diabetic retinopathy or arthritis which is aggravated upon the activation of VEGFA by HIF-1.

摘要： Provided is a composition for cancer diagnosis or anticancer drug screening, comprising an MIG 12 gene or MIG 12 gene-expressed protein, a composition for cancer diagnosis or anticancer drug screening, comprising an OIP 5 gene or OIP5 gene-expressed protein, a composition for treatment of cancer, comprising an inhibitor of the aforesaid genes or an inhibitor of the aforesaid proteins and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a cancer diagnosis kit comprising at least one of an MIG 12 gene, an OIP5 gene, and an MIG 12- or OIP5-expressed protein. MIG12 and OIP5 genes of the present invention are expressed at relatively high levels in cancer cell lines and increase a proliferation rate of normal cells. Therefore, inhibition of expression of these genes via RNAi using siRNA or shRNA leads to suppression of cancer cell growth. For these reasons, MIGl 2 and OIP5 genes can be used as a target gene for diagnosis or cancer therapy of various cancers.

摘要： The present invention relates to a compound having HIF-1 inhibition activity, to a method for preparing same, and to a pharmaceutical composition containing same as an active ingredient. The compound of the present invention exhibits anticancer activity by inhibiting the activity of HIF-1, which is a transcription factor that plays a significant role in cancer cell growth and metastasis, and does not indicate non-selective, cytotoxic anti-tumour activity. Accordingly, the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention inhibits HIF-1 activity, and therefore can be used as a therapeutic agent for solid tumours such as colon cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer and breast cancer. In addition, the compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention can be used as an active ingredient for a therapeutic agent for diabetic retinopathy or arthritis which may become worse when hypoxia-induced VEGF expression by HIF-1 increases.

The FLJ25416 gene is expressed at high level in specific cancer cells, and induces an increase in proliferation rate of normal cells. The expression of the gene is suppressed, which results in an inhibitory effect on cancer cell growth. Thus, the FLJ25416 gene can be used as a target gene for diagnosis or treatment of cancer.
