摘要： A polishing pad having a body comprising fibers embedded in a matrix polymer formed by a reaction of polymer precursors. The fibers define interstices, and the precursors fill these interstices substantially completely before completion of the reaction. The pad may include a thin layer of free fibers at its polishing surface. A segment of at least a portion of the free fibers are embedded in the adjacent body of the polymer and fibers. The fibers may be separate, or in the form of a woven or non-woven web.

摘要： A carpeted surface is protected with a temporary carpet protection sheet (10) that includes a lightweight non-woven or knit fibrous material (16) laminated with a resin backing (18) into which at least portions of fibers of the fibrous material are embedded, or to which resin of the fibers is directly and chemically fused. Male touch fastener elements (30) extend along the backing and are arranged in spaced apart fastening regions (14) adjacent the longitudinal edges (12) of the fibrous material. The male touch fastener elements are configured to be both releasably engageable with the hook-engageable fibers (22) of the fibrous material, when the protection sheet is arranged in overlapping fashion, and releasably engageable with looped carpet tufts. A protection system features multiple lengths of such protection sheet joined by hook seaming tape (44).

摘要： A plastic frame assembly (10) for bearing weight and a method of assembling same, comprising a plastic support member (12) having a bottom portion (14) and a top portion (16). The bottom portion (14) has a channel (18), a plastic-affiliating migratory securing adhesive (20), and a flexible porous membrane (22). The plastic affiliating migratory securing adhesive (20) is applied to the channel (18) and the flexible porous membrane (22) is positioned on top of the channel (18) and forced into the channel (18). The plastic affiliating migratory securing adhesive (20) migrates through the flexible porous membrane (22) and secures the flexible porous membrane (22) to the bottom portion (14) of the plastic support member (12). The top portion (16) of the plastic support member (12) may register with the bottom portion (14) in such a way so that the flexible porous membrane (22) is held in place only by the plastic affiliating migratory securing adhesive (20).
