摘要： Disclosed is an encoding method of an encoder. The encoder generates a first MDCT coefficient by converting an input signal, and generates an MDCT index by quantizing the first MDCT coefficient. The encoder generates a second MDCT coefficient by inversely quantizing the MDCT index, and calculates an MDCT error coefficient by a difference between the first MDCT coefficient and the second MDCT coefficient. Next, said encoder generates an error index by encoding the MDCT error coefficient, and generates a gain index corresponding to a gain of the first MDCT coefficient from the first MDCT coefficient and the second MDCT coefficient.

摘要： A method of controlling the codec mode of a convergence internet protocol (IP) network and a terminal using the method are provided. The terminal may include a variable bit-rate/mode codec controller including a channel status measurement and management (CSMM) unit which measures the status of a wireless channel and provides the results of the measuring of the wireless channel status as channel quality information, and which measures the transfer performance of a received packet and provides the results of the measuring of the packet transfer performance as packet measurement parameter information, and a service quality control (SQC) unit which measures the quality of a multimedia service based on the channel quality information and the packet measurement parameter information, provides the results of the measuring of the multimedia service quality as service quality information and determines a codec mode of the terminal or a counterpart terminal communicating with the all-IP terminal based on the service quality information. Therefore, it is possible to improve the quality of multimedia services.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding an audio signal. The method for encoding an audio signal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: receiving a converted audio signal; dividing the converted audio signal into a plurality of sub-bands; performing a 1st sinusoidal pulse coding on the plurality of sub-bands; determining a block where a 2nd sinusoidal pulse coding is to be performed, out of the plurality sub-bands; and performing the 2nd sinusoidal pulse coding on the corresponding block, wherein a 1st sinusoidal pulse coding step is variably performed depending on the pulse coding information. According to the present invention, when encoding or decoding an audio signal in an upper layer using the hierarchical sinusoidal pulse coding, the sinusoidal pulse coding of a lower layer is also taken into consideration for more improvements in the quality of a synthesized signal.

摘要： The present invention relates to an encoding/decoding method for audio signals using adaptive sine wave pulse coding and an apparatus thereof. An encoding method for audio signals according to the embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of dividing an audio signal into a plurality of sub bands; a step of operating energy of each sub band separately; a step of selecting the sub bands having relatively greater energy among all sub bands as a predetermined number; and a step of performing sine wave pulse coding for the selected sub bands. The present invention has an effect of efficiently increasing the quality of a synthesis signal by applying sine wave pulse coding in consideration of the amount of energy of each sub band of the synthesis signal.
