摘要： A rubber composition having improved antiozonation performance comprising a substituted hydroxyl-phenyl-p-(hydroxy)phenylenediamine. Such a composition is particularly suitable for rubber articles. The improved rubber composition possesses a long lasting antiozonation performance, slowing migration through the rubber article and reducing effluence of the antiozonant. Such rubber articles may include rubber pneumatic tires, solid tires, non-pneumatic tires, belts, hoses, cables, automotive mounts, bushings and general mechanic products that are exposed to continuous and intermittent dynamic operation conditions and require protection from ozonation.

摘要： Rubber compositions having a particular rigidity booster and articles made therefrom. Such rubber compositions include a highly unsaturated diene rubber having a content of units of diene origin that is greater than 50 mol% and a reinforcing filler. Also included in such rubber compositions are a methylene acceptor and a methylene donor that form a methylene donor/methylene acceptor reinforcing resin system. The rubber compositions additionally include the rigidity booster that has structure (A) where R1 is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic moiety having a chain length of between C10 and C30 and Y is selected from the group consisting of— OM,— NH 2 , — NHR2,— N(R2R3) and combinations thereof, where M is a metallic cation and R2 and R3 are a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon having a chain length of between C1 and C25, wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different.

摘要： Tire components comprising rubber compositions based upon cross-linkable elastomer composition, the cross-linkable elastomer compositions including, per 100 parts by weight of rubber (phr), a highly unsaturated diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a methylene acceptor of the form (I) wherein R is selected from H, an alkyl moiety, a cycloalkyl moiety, an aryl moiety, an amine moiety or combinations thereof. The rubber compositions include a methylene donor in an amount that provides little or no change in the rigidity of the cured rubber composition. Since the methylene acceptor may be described as having antidegradant properties, then resulting rubber composition has improved resistance to degradation.

摘要： An elastomer composition includes an elastomer and a carbon black, wherein the carbon black is characterized as having a COAN of between about 90 and 150 ml/100 g, a BET of between 50 and 69 m2/g and a distribution index DI that is greater than 1.15, wherein the DI is a ratio of d w to d mode . In particular embodiments, the elastomer may be selected from one or more natural rubbers, one or more synthetic rubbers or combinations thereof. For example, the one or more synthetic rubbers may be selected from styrene butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, polyisoprene rubber, butyl rubber or combinations thereof. Products made from the elastomer composition include tires and other products, particularly tires that include a sidewall, a carcass, a carcass reinforcement tread and/or an undertread comprising the elastomeric composition.

摘要： A heavy vehicle tire tread constituted from a material based upon a rubber composition, the composition comprising, per 100 parts by weight of elastomer, between 35 and 60 phr of a solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber having a styrene content of between 10 wt. % and 35 wt. % and between 35 and 60 phr of a polybutadiene. The composition may further include between 45 and 110 phr of silica and between (1.94 x 10 - 3 /n)(S) and (2.55 x 10 -3 /n)(S) moles of a sulfur-containing organosilicon compound as a silane coupling agent per 1 kg of the silica, wherein n is a number of silicon atoms in a molecule of the silane coupling agent and S is a CTAB surface area in m 2 /g of the silica. The rubber composition may be cured with a sulfur curing system comprising a sulfenamide accelerator and between 0.3 and 0.8 phr of free sulfur, wherein a ratio of the sulfenamide accelerator and the sulfur is between 2 and 7.

摘要： Elastomer compositions and products formed therefrom, the compositions including one or more elastomers and glass microfibers having an average fiber diameter of no more than about 5 μm and an average length of between about 5 and 200 μm, wherein the glass microfibers are directionally oriented within the elastomer composition. Alternatively, the average length of the glass microfibers may be between 5 and 100 μm or in other embodiments, between about 10 and 70 μm. The elastomer compositions may be used to form products that include a tire tread or a support member within the sidewall of a tire. The glass microfibers may be oriented in, inter alia, a substantially circumferential orientation, a tread thickness orientation or at a 45° orientation in a plane formed between the tread thickness and circumferential orientations or in a sidewall thickness direction.
