    • A multi-band antenna system includes an array of wide-band radiating elements and a multi-band electrical tilt circuit. The multi-band electrical tilt circuit includes a plurality of combiners, a first RF band variable phase shifter and a second RF band variable phase shifter implemented in a common medium. The common medium may comprise a PCB, a stripline circuit, or the like. Each combiner includes a combined port, a first RF band port, and a second RF band port. The combined ports are coupled to the radiating elements. The first RF band phase shifter has a first plurality of variably phase shifted ports connected to the first RF band ports of the combiners via transmission line, and the second RF band phase shifter has a second plurality of variably phase-shifted ports connected to the second RF band ports of the combiners via transmission line. The phase shifters are independently configurable.

    • An exemplary alignment module for a base station antenna has one or more accelerometers and one or more magnetometers. The one or more accelerometers are used to determine tilt and roll angles of the antenna, while the yaw angle of the antenna is determined using the one or more magnetometers and the determined tilt and roll angles. Using multiple accelerometers and/or multiple magnetometers can improve accuracy of angle determination. A service provider can determine when to re-align the antenna by monitoring the tilt, roll, and yaw angles remotely to detect changes in antenna orientation. Yaw angle determination can also take into account offset values corresponding to soft-iron effects, hard-iron effects, and factory calibration. The need to re-calibrate offset values following changes in local magnetic environment can be detected by comparing different sensor signals, such as the different magnetic fields detected by a plurality of magnetometers.

    • A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable and a coaxial cable connector. The coaxial cable includes: a central conductor having a connector end; a dielectric layer that overlies the central conductor; and an outer conductor that overlies the dielectric layer having a connector end. The coaxial connector includes: a central conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end; a first insulative layer interposed between an opposed second end of the central conductor extension and the connector end of the central conductor; an outer conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end; and a second insulative layer interposed between an opposed second end of the outer conductor extension and the connector end of the outer conductor. This configuration can reduce and/or avoid PIM within the connection of two coaxial connectors.

    • An antenna mount is provided with a bracket with an azimuth slot, an azimuth pivot hole and a boss hole. An azimuth adjuster with an extension portion passes through a boss seated in the boss hole. An offset portion of the azimuth adjuster has an azimuth fastener aperture spaced apart from a longitudinal axis of the extension portion. An azimuth fastener passes through the base, the azimuth slot and the azimuth fastener aperture. An azimuth pivot fastener passes through the base and the azimuth pivot hole. The azimuth slot is provided as an arc segment with a center point at the azimuth pivot hole. Adjustment of a longitudinal position along the extension portion of an interconnection between the boss and the extension portion drives the azimuth fastener within the azimuth slot to pivot the base about the azimuth pivot hole with respect to the bracket.

The processing device can determine an interface link protocol for communicating with terminal equipment via the telecommunication system. The interface link protocol can be determined based on an organization of the data retrieved from the communication link.
