摘要： The invention refers to a plate heat exchanger for treatment of a medium. The plate heat exchanger comprises a number of compression-moulded heat exchanger plates (1), which are piled beside each other in a plate package (2) and which form first plate interspaces (5) for the medium and second plate interspaces (6). The first plate interspaces and the second plate interspaces are provided in an alternating order in the plate package. The plate package (2) encloses an evaporation section, a separation section and a condensation section. The evaporation section is arranged to permit evaporation of at least a part of the medium flowing through the first plate interspaces. The separation section is arranged to separate non-evaporated liquid from the evaporated part of the medium. The condensation section is arranged to condense the evaporated part flowing through the first plate interspaces.

摘要： A heat exchanger plant for distillation comprises at least two parallel process lines (1) with at least two successive heat exchanger stages (2a, 2b) , which each comprises a plate package of heat exchanger plates provided in such a way that first plate interspaces for condensation and second plate interspaces for evaporation are formed. The heat exchanger stages form rows (8) with heat exchanger stages which lie after each other and transversely to the process lines. Each heat exchanger stage is adapted to perform condensation of steam and evaporation of a liquid, wherein they are supplied with steam to the first plate interspaces and a liquid to the second plate interspaces. The supplied steam is condensed to a liquid and the supplied liquid is evaporated and supplied to the first plate interspaces in the next heat exchanger stage for evaporation of a liquid supplied to the second plate interspaces in this next heat exchanger stage. The plant comprises a closed casing (10) , which encloses an inner space (11) in which the process lines are provided. The casing has, seen in a cross-section transversely to the process lines, a rectangular shape.

摘要： In a desalination plant (1) comprising an evaporator (2), a separator (3) for separating droplets of brine from the mixture of steam and such droplets produced by the boiling process in the evaporator (2), and a condenser (4) for condensing the steam into freshwater leaving the plant at an outlet (18), the novel feature is that the separator (3) is of a type with "distributed effect", e.g. consisting of a number of cells bounded by zig-zag baffles (24), each such cell performing a separating function. With this arrangement, the flow cross-sectional area and hence the horizontal space requirement of the separator (3) does not have to exceed that of the evaporator (2), in contrast to Prior-Art plants, in which the separator comprised a large inverted dish requiring much space to operate, as the centrifugal separating effect solely took place at its periphery.
