摘要： The present invention relates to a method, system, and a heating system for use with the system for the purpose of processing of step top glued bags, and in particular the opening and removal of the paper layer of such bags. These types of bags should be understood to consist of a plastic liner or plastic bag which, in turn is protected by the outer layer of paper. The liner is bonded to the paper layer through spots of adhesive. The invention involves the application of heat to the top of the bag, which deactivates the adhesive in this area. The bag can then be tilted or otherwise manipulated to allow the liner to slide out from the paper layer, which can then be removed.

A key aspect of the invention is the use of specially configured baskets, into which the shellfish to be grown is seeded. In particular, the baskets are configured with a support bracket through which a cable passes. The mounting of the support bracket permits the rotation of the basket and allows a shellfish cultivator to replicate the growing conditions of intertidal ecosystems despite the invention being used in a subtidal environment.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and apparatus for treating waste water containing suspended organic material. The invention has particular application for, but is not limited to, the treatment of waste water derived from dairy farming, animal husbandry and the processing of animal carcasses. The method includes the steps of: a) mixing agriculturally beneficial acids with the waste water, wherein the acid reduces the pH of the waste water; b) holding the waste water and acid mixture for a period of time to allow particulate matter to precipitate out of the mixture; c) treating the mixture with an alkali containing material, wherein the alkali containing material includes calcium and/or magnesium containing material.
