摘要： The present disclosure provides methods for preventing and/or reducing early childhood obesity that are based upon early inception (e.g., third trimester of pregnancy), anticipatory guidance (e.g., prior to an infant reaching a specific developmental stage), sequential guidance, and nutritionally and developmentally appropriate dietary and parental feeding behaviors guidance, all specifically targeting factors that have been associated with childhood obesity. The present methods may help instill early healthy eating habits and nutritious food preferences for infants and young children, promote an appropriate early growth trajectory, and a long term weight status that is consistent with public policy recommendations and associated with long term health.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to nutritional compositions comprising a fructo- oligosaccharaide (FOS) in an amount of 35 to 44% by weight; a polysaccharide that is not a partially hydrolyzed guar gum such as, for example, an arabinogalactan in an amount of 50% to 38% by weight; and inulin in an amount of 12% to 24% by weight. The FOS and the polysaccharide may be present in a weight ratio of about 1:1. More specifically, the FOS and inulin may be present in a weight ratio of about 7:3. Also provided are methods of promoting gut microbiota balance and health. The methods include administering an effective amount of the nutritional composition to patients in need of same.

摘要： The present invention relates to methods and immunonutritional compositions for preventing the impairment of the immune function during anti-cancer therapy, thereby attaining a better efficacy of the treatment. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and immunonutritional compositions that can transiently augment or enhance the immunocompetence of an immune cell and the immunogenecity of a tumor cell of a subject undergoing anti-cancer therapy-induced apoptosis and tumor-cell-enhanced immunogenicity such that the innate and adaptive immune functions and normal physiology of the immune cell are preserved, which, in turn, lead to (i) a better tolerance and increased efficacy to anti-cancer therapy; (ii) transient augmentation or enhancement of immunocompetence of the immune cell and immunogenecity of the tumor cell; and (iii) optimization of the effects of and increase of immunocompetence of the immune cell weakened by anti-cancer therapy.
